As a wedding photographer in the Sacramento area I get the unique privilege to have a plethora of gorgeous locations to offer my Adventure Engagement Session couples. Britni & Dennis decided on South Lake Tahoe. ( And it was a great choice! ) This was where they got engaged, as well as where they will have their wedding, at Edgewood Tahoe.
We made the hour drive from Sacramento to South Lake Tahoe the day before to scope out some gorgeous areas to celebrate their engagement. I will admit, we weren't quite expecting it to be literally 16 degrees outside, and were thankful for the foot warmers in our shoes (shout out to Hot Hands).
The next afternoon we grabbed our gear and got ready for location number one. The beach at South Lake Tahoe. This is where i will admit, that i realized i couldn't make one comment about the cold. After all, Britni was wearing a dress, and i was wearing jeans and 2 jackets. But, my oh my, she looked stunning!
We spent the next few hours hopping from location to location, to get a good range of pictures and scenery. From the beach, to the forest, and the mountains. We made sure to visit everything that Sacramento couldn’t offer us for engagement pictures.
The snow was the best addition to our day, not only did it make for pretty pictures, but we got to play with icicles, snowballs, and even throw a bunch of snow around. Luckily, we were eventually able to retreat to our warm cars after our goodbyes.
Britni and Dennis had such a genuine connection and their smiles were contagious. When they weren’t making us smile, their adorable dog Jax was. Overall, we loved every moment of this session and we are thrilled to be the wedding photographers at their Edgewood Tahoe wedding.
