Jamie and Luke’s wedding took place about hour outside of Sacramento, in the beautiful city of Lodi. Being a wedding photographer in Sacramento really opens up so many gorgeous venue possibilities from barns in the country to gorgeous wineries. For this wedding, we had the privilege of shooting at Mettler Family Vineyards. The theme of the wedding was “Lucky in Love” and let me tell you, these two are so lucky to have found one another. They are honestly the sweetest couple, and complement each other perfectly.
The day of the wedding getting ready was a tad bit hectic, but it didn’t faze Jamie one bit. While I see some brides get nervous under pressure, I could tell that Jamie was 110% ready to meet Luke at the end of the aisle. Luke seemed just as ready. Jamie was ready, and stunning, after she had her hair done by Alexandra Marie and her makeup done by Aimee from Make-up Studio Lodi. Once she slipped into her Oleg Cassini dress from David’s Bridal in Modesto she looked straight out of a fairy tale.
When it was time for Jamie to walk down the aisle, her dad accompanied her. She looked like a princess in her gorgeous ballgown dress. Luke’s eyes filled with tears as he saw his soon to be wife making her way up the aisle. The ceremony was full of happy tears, laughter and the cutest ‘first kiss’ at the end to seal the deal.
We spent some time walking around the vineyard property. Rather than trekking through the vineyard, we decided to take pictures near the beautiful willow tree that was situated perfectly beside a cute pond with a little dock. Luke and Jamie were up for anything! From a carefully set up shot of Jamie and Luke laying on her perfectly situated dress, to dancing and spinning, they did it all. As a result, the pictures are to die for, and they had fun while taking them.
The evening reception had a romantic vibe. Golds, blushes, and fairy lights adorned the area. Beautiful florals by Belle’s Flower Shop in Lodi were scattered around the reception. Dinner was catered by Angelina’s Spaghetti House. The DJ, Steven Curry, played string quartet versions of Disney songs throughout the dinner, which perfectly complimented the atmosphere. After dinner was finished he directed the couple to cut the beautiful cake made by Something Sweet. The night ended with a fun and memorable sparker exit! (see this in the gallery below)
